The 9-9 balancer is six 3-3 nodes, so 3-3 is already done. 6-6 would need a stage with two 3-3 nodes and another of three 2-2 nodes. 12-12 is a bit trickier. You could do it as two stages, one being four 3-3 nodes and the other being three 4-4 nodes. 4-4 nodes are basically just two stages of two 2-2 nodes each though.
